MY PHOTO BOOK IS BEING PRINTED - THE WILD MAGIC OF ICELAND IS JUST BEYOND THE HORIZON!

After years of dreaming, scouting, shooting, editing, and so much hard work pouring every part of my soul into this, I'm finally holding the first copies of The Wild Magic of Iceland!
Eleven years ago, I guided my first tourists here in Iceland. We floated weightlessly at 20m depth through the 2ºC waters in the tectonic rift of Silfra, something that I went on to do about 600 more times and will always and forever love the feeling of. It was the first of over 10,000 people I've guided in Iceland since. And on my days off, I would join other tours around the country to discover all the sides of this insane landscape.
Already back then, I knew Iceland had a sense of magic that could only be experienced here. I could see it in the reactions of all my people I showed it to as their eyes lit up with wonderful wonder in this wonderland.
I picked up a camera. I wanted to try capture and convey this fifth dimension of indescribable magic, and show what I couldn't describe with words. My first target audience was my parents, siblings, and grandparents in the form of emails I sent them after every adventure I went on, each cut off at 20mb batches of pictures. I would send hundreds.
A year later I was a glacier guide, often guiding photographers and showing them the world of ice, trying to capture a rapidly collapsing world before we risk loosing it. In return they showed me how to better fit it all into my camera, and how to make it be seen by a larger audience. It was time to show the world.
I have since always kept my cameras by my side, and I have dedicated the last decade to bringing people into this magical world, so they can see for themselves just how important it is for the soul and mind, and why it's worth preserving.
The Wild Magic of Iceland - is finally starting to ship next week. It's my most meaningful work to date, and my best effort of spreading this magic to as many homes, souls and minds around the world as possible.

It's not just all my best photos from Iceland that I have captured over the last decade, carefully curated down from about 4 million to 256 pages of sheer bliss, but each one carries a memory, a story, and a writing of my own fingers.
This book means the world to me, and I really hope I can spread it to as many places and people as possible, so that in a way, after all is gone and we are nowhere left to be found, somewhere in a caved-in ruin on the bottom of a peak, there will lie a book that shows what beauty the magic of life once held out here.
