The stories behind the prints — part two
Wood Cake — 1 December 2025

It’s taken me hundreds of years to finally nail this shot of an Icelandic forest. First I had to gather all the trees in Iceland, get them to stay upright through all the storms, and then paint every leaf I could reach with my own hands. I can only hope it’s appreciated and that I haven’t caused anyone too much trouble by blocking their views.
The Edge — 2 December 2025

Yup. Can’t really go further than this. Even the land couldn’t be bothered to.
Having moved to the edge of the world, the end of the top of that edge is only a 3h hike from my house. And from there I can throw rocks at the bottom of the same edge. Or fly my drone and take panoramic selfies of me being really really really small. You probably can’t see me in there, even if you buy the largest version of this print. I dare you. Just to see the details.
A geothermal embryo — 3 December 2025

A geothermal embryo, hoping to one day go full volcano, but for now only making bubbles and imitating the universe.
These are spread all over Iceland, keeping things and people warm where they can find their way to the surface. I think they have a lot to say after their long journeys from the deep depths below, and they try to express it through their own version of paint. Too bad we haven’t deciphered their languages yet.
But when we do, the universe will all make sense too.
The Tree of Trees — 5 December 2023

Surrounded by some of the most bedazzling sceneries in the world, with mountains towering over every turn, lakes glowing blue from glacial juices, and a proper winter roaring above it all, this herd of trees came down to the water for a drink. Little did they know that I was hiding on the other side, out to capture exactly these kinds of little details in this vastly majestic winter wonderland. My shutter echoed across the silent valley, and I managed to snap this shot before the trees all ran away.
