The 12th eruption of forever. This will never look real, will always be unbelievable, will always bring the happiest happiness out of me, and will always fill my cameras with joy. Love lava land.

Shot during the first days of our latest eruption. It's still going on as this print is launched. And the print is still hot from the freshness of this lava. 
 
I was just gonna drive my mom to the airport, but there's a classic volcano on the way. The eruption had just started, but the last few have been closed off and only reserved for the local elite, so there was no hope in getting close this time either. Still, I always carry all my camera gear in my back pocket just in case. On the way back I spot that the usual Blue Lagoon road (the one that leads to Lava Land) was not blocked by the usual wall of sirens. So I drove in. And am still not stopped. So I start walking. And in my flip flops (yeah I don't carry all my hiking shoes in my back pocket), I aproach our latest season of hell.
 
Magnificent as always, with the slight smell of extreme fireworks in the air, my drone is sent to be grilled once more. It's been two years since I was let in, and it's great to be back. This will always be where I'm happiest. In Lava Land.
